With over 25 years of experience working with behavioural children and youth in the community and school system, Fiona Jimenez has a desire to support the young people who often get left behind due to the poor choices they continue to make. New Approach is a virtual and in-person Child and Youth Behavioural Consulting Service for educators who need immediate support. Fiona offers intensive support in schools to young people who have a difficult time managing their behaviours. Even though she is no longer in the classroom daily, Fiona is very passionate about behavioural students not receiving the support they need to succeed. As a solution, Fiona has created modules, workshops and virtual coaching to better equip schools with the tools needed to help these students thrive.

Over the years, it became frustrating to see students make great gains in school only to return to school after a break or a weekend, or even to fall back into previous behaviours. It was evident to Fiona that there was a disconnect between the strategies being used at school and home. Fiona wanted to make sure New Approach could fill this gap and help young people not only change their behaviour at school but also in their homes. Therefore, in-home support is available to families and residential homes.
